It is becoming a slightly better market for developing now that the pressure on building is slowing. This is being caused by the lack of land available to build on. The builders are now finding they are running out of work for their tradesmen so the price of building should plateau or even drop in the next 6 - 12 months.
Therefore if you have some land to build on then the next 6 - 12 months would be a good time to start building.
