New South Wales is the most heavily populated state
of Australia.
Its capital city is Sydney which holds
approximately 4.5 million people and is the business centre of Australia. New South Wales also has the largest regional population
in Australia
with approximately 2.5 million people residing in these regional centres and
districts. Most of the population live in close proximity to the ocean or along
the Murray River. It has many tourist
attractions such as the Sydney Harbour, Opera House, Harbour
Bridge, Snowy and Blue
Mountains. The city of Sydney is the
most recognisable place in Australia
for other countries due to the recent Olympic Games. New
South Wales also has other industries such as the mining and
exportation of coal through its second largest centre being Newcastle. The north Coast of New South Wales is borders Queensland thus sharing a subtropical
climate.
